What Weird National Holidays To Join In One Of These Days

Whether it is a day off or just a simple excuse to celebrate, most people just love a holiday. Nowadays, more and more weird national holidays make it to the calendar. Countries around the world are not averse to that idea, after all. Here are a few examples of those peculiar rest days all over the world that you should experience.

Day of the Sea. This is the kind of celebration that Bolivians commemorate in honor of the loss of the Port of Calama, when their Bolivian forces lost against the Chilean forces. Since the Port of Calama is the last ocean-front property the Bolivians own back then, its loss is really a huge blow to them.

Korean Alphabet Day. There is no one who loves their alphabets more than the Koreans. It even come to the point of them setting aside a day for the celebration of the said event. A day out of the Koreans' life has been allocation for the celebration of the existence of the Korean Alphabet.

NATIONAL PUNCTUATION DAY. If the Korean Alphabet Day is not enough for you, then you better look into America's calendar. Look into the month of September and you will surely see the mark for this holiday. This is the day where you can celebrate by reading newspapers and circling punctuation errors or similar ones.

NATIONAL WEATHERPERSON'S DAY. Most people love weatherpersons because the latter have impeccable speech. Not only that, they bring you the weather forecasts that will help you go through your entire day without any problems. These people also have a day for their own to celebrate. If you are a weatherperson, then you can get this day all on your own.

BERMUDA DAY. If you are on a tropical island, then weather reports are not always your main concern daily. However, you still need to have an idea on when it is already fine to wear shorts to your business meetings. When you are in Bermuda, you can consider May 24 as the day when it is okay for you to do that. Swimming in the beach officially starts during this day too.

BLESSED RAIN DAY. If you are living in a country with lots of monsoons, then the end of that season is worth celebrating. The people of Bhutan use this holiday to take a bath outdoors in the mythically purified natural waters surrounding them. Blessed Rain Day is a fun celebration worth noting.

Melon Day. In the beautiful country of Turkmenistan, you can actually take the day off on August 12 if you want to participate in a very unique event. That event is the Melon Day, a day dedicated for the creation of one of the most popular crossbreed of the muskmelons. You can celebrate melons and muskmelons during this day.

Picnic Day. When you are in Northern Australia, you just need to go to the Adelaide River together with your family on the first Monday of August. This is because it is a festivity that celebrates the Picnic Day. It should be worth it for you to go to this event. You can bring the entire family to the venue and have fun with your husband, wife, and kids during this three-day festivity.
