Grapple Bucket Makes Your Life Easier

By Katrina Wheeler

The grapple bucket can be mounted on wheel and truck loaders, tractors and other heavy duty equipment. It is suitable for metal scrap removal and cleaning refuse and all other materials. Available in variety of standard sizes, it is usually made of abrasion resistant steel with high tensile strength, with front coupler or pin-up connection.

Grapple buckets with hardened pins and optional cylinder guards are designed for demanding works such as scrap handling, recycling material handling and other tough applications. The design have to suit the purpose. For example, forked scrap grapples are designed for refuse and brush removal, and they allow all dirt to fall down while you load loose material.

When you have to clean up the mess after a strong storm, tractor grapple buckets are just ideal for this purpose. They are also quite useful for removing old trees or cut off branches. They may have one or two steel lids, and each is separately controlled, by hydraulic cylinders. They are often designed with bottom spacing, allowing smaller rocks and dirt to fall down.

Scrap grapples have solid bottoms and low cut sides. This allows picking and securing different loads wider than the bucket. These grapples are very good when it comes to trash and other debris moving. They are very useful on junk yards and for different junk and debris cleaning purposes.

Root grapples are great for transporting large trees, cut-off branches and similar large things. The best option is to get a model with two separate grapples, individually operated, because one side can clap on larger trunk, while the other can clamp down on skinnier trunk. This makes the machine more stable and safer to use in different conditions.

There are numerous types of attachments designed for different purposes. For example, extended lip grapples have larger capacity. If the sides are cut out, your debris can hang out through the sides easily, and you can carry debris longer than the bucket is wide. The important thing is to get the right sized one for your machine, and for the job you are planning to do with it.

Some types are designed for harsh environments. Their construction ensures long life and durability in tough conditions. They have to be designed to clamp evenly around any load being carried, to provide stability and safe operation. Durable high carbon steel and heat treated bushings ensure great resistance and longevity.

Compact tractors loaders and smaller skid steers can use long open bottom grapples, very handy when it comes to tree service, trash managing and similar works. They are quite light, but still very strong and durable. Different attachments are sold separately, for example additional rails on the bottom, very useful if you have to handle smaller pieces.

Different attachments are also quite useful. For example, grapples can be mounted on your existing bucket, but in this case you will have to add separate hydraulic controls. Smaller modifications will make your machine perfectly operable, especially for loading loose brush and different debris. Good quality grapple bucket is very useful an makes your work easier.
